Jim Oglesby sets World 2009 Outdoor age 75 best
with the shot (12.92) at the TCF/NTC Throws Challenge #1 meet on 5
December at the NTC in Clermont Florida See

In cold damp conditions Jim set about his task in earnest,
deciding to forgo the javelin and discus events and
concentrate his efforts on the shot put. All Jim's efforts
bettered 12.50 with the best 12.92 placing him number one on
the 2009
Master Athletics T & F World ranking lists. Only
Bernhard Karlsson SWE having throw further 13.12i, but this
mark was set indoors. The next best mark in the ranking of
12.44 by Antanas Cerniauskas LTU was beaten by Jim in all of
his 6 throws. As I understand Jim's target in 2010 is to
surpass Heiner Will GER World Record of 13.84 set in 2002.
